2009 Bicycles

“Las Vegas” Langster

The Langster is Specialized single speed bike and is designed as a urban fixed gear, track bike or single speed roadie, the Langster is mechanical simplicity at its best.  This year Specialized have the Langster available in a few different paint jobs and at Lifecycle, we now have a couple of the Las Vegas Langsters in stock.  They're a trick bike with gold anodised bling (see the stem, brakes and other gear). The Las Vegas is now available in store and is priced at $1499.

Avanti K.I.S.S. 29er

There has been a quiet revolution going on in recent years with more and more riders trying out the large diameter 29inch mountian bike wheels. Unfortunately many 29inch bikes have been seriously overpriced and hard to get of hold. For 2010 Avanti brings the 29er sensation to the masses with this 29inch single speed. An eccentric bottom bracket takes care of the chain tension duties while still allowing you to fit the frame with gears should you desire. Built from 4130 cromoly steel, this bike will ease out the trail vibrations and have the strength and toughness to last for years. It is now available in store for $1299.

Avanti K.I.S.S. 26

The steel hardtail is back. 26 inch wheels and a suspension fork may make this maybe look like any other mountain bike but closer inspection reveals a heart of steel. It is now available in store for $1799.

Avanti Scratch 29er

Like the idea of 29 inch wheels but don't want to do the whole single speed thing? Then checkout the new Scratch 29er from Avanti. With custom 29” Rock Shock suspension forks and a full range of gears we reckon this would be the perfect bike for endurance races like the Flight Center Epic where the extra speed of big wheels will be most appreciated.

2010 Specialized Fuse BMX

With their wild colour schemes the new Specialized Fuse BMX range will certainly turn heads. Look beneath the surface though and you find bikes of the utmost quality ready for the worst abuse in the park, on the street or on the trails.

Avanti Derelikt

For 2010 Avanti has another great range of hardcore Derelikt hardtails that are built to stand up to any dirtjump/street riding you have the stomach to throw them at.

Avanti Team Cadent

Brand new full carbon road bike from Avanti. Feature new endurance road geometry which means more comfort over long rides with out sacrificing strength and stiffness. After winning the NZ National road champs on the Team Cadent, Gordon McCauley was quoted describing it as "The perfect race bike – especially if you've had lower back issues on more aggressive geometry bikes but you still want awesome performance".

Avanti Pista Carbon

Some serious research and development has gone into the new Avanti Pista track frame. Now constructed from Carbon fibre this frame offers industry leading stiffness and aerodynamics. One of the hottest looking frames as well.

Avanti Chrono and Team Chrono

Avanti is taking the opportunity at Ironman NZ 2007 to allow a sneak preview of one of the 2008 edition bikes. The Chrono is a specifically designed time trial and triathlon machine benefiting from the latest Avanti Design Technology philosophies; it’s light, super stiff plus vertically compliant for maximum comfort.

Both the Chrono and Chrono team will feature the same Crabon Chrono TT frame. This new frame features an oversize BB with Press Fit Shimano Bearing, 2 seatpost positions for a more fowrward position where required and TT specific geometry developed in conjunction with Jason Shortis. The bike also features: M.O.D.S. or Maximum Output Differential Strays. Avanti have identified that there is more load on the Right Hand Chain Stay – so they have added more material to this side to increase strength and ultimately "power Output" without adding extra weight on the left hand side.
