  2008 Specialized Launch

Lifecycle owner Blair Stockwell has just returned from a trip to Salt Lake City in the USA to preview the 2008 line up from Specialized. Luckily Blair picked up a brand new camera duty free (a shock proof model as he is the world's most careless person with electronic equipment) and was able to take a few happy snaps.

2008 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR

Blair poses for a photo with the new Stumpjumper before taking it for a test ride.

Back at the convention center there were more 2008 Stumpjumpers on display.

New Epic Marathon Carbon. Carbon fibre MTBs are no longer just for the pros.

2008 sees the introduction of the Pitch. An affordable trail bike that is the perfect choice if you can't afford the mighty Enduro.

The Enduro: If I ever win lotto I am quitting my job, buying this bike and moving to Whistler. These are the most versatile bikes around.

The new 2D helmet, weighs less then a Banana (until someone brings out a carbon fibre banana that is).

Just like the Decibel the new 2D helmet will be available in a host of team colours. Of course you will buy it because it is the lightest helmet on the market not because you want to look like Eric Zabel.

Fusse star wheels from Roval are amazingly aerodynamic and amazingly good looking at the same time. All thanks to their revolutionary star hub.

One quarter of the spokes on these Rapide Carbon wheels are red, the rest are black. Makes Ksyrium ES wheels look bland and boring.

Check out that lighweight carbon hub! Don't forget the white spokes either – the best way to give your bike bling and performance in one hit.
